Cornel is the industry's classic red ball dahlia, and for good reason. Like the kids say— “IYKYK”. Cornel is more of a burnt red than a true red and we really like that about her. (No offense true red dahlias) A shorter plant that doesn't necessarily require support, great cut flower with amazing vase life, and super tuber producer- you can't go wrong! If you're a new grower looking for a reliable red dahlia, you've found it!

Growing Guide

Dahlias are cold sensitive and should not be planted out until all danger of frost has passed in your area. Dahlias grow best in full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) and well-draining soil. Dahlias produce tubers which must be lifted in the fall in zones 7 and lower.

  • We sell and ship to customers in the continental United States. Local Pick Up is also available at our farm in South Dartmouth, MA.
  • All orders with standard shipping will ship when safe to do so, typically beginning in mid-April.
