American Dawn offers a beautiful fall display with its bronze and berry-toned blooms. Plants are shorter in stature but make up for lack of height with sturdy stems and its truly unique coloring. American Dawn is one of the latest flowering varieties we grow- so be prepared for a late fall show and not any sooner. Due to its shorter plant habit this is one we could recommend as more "container friendly."

Tip: Be sure to cut flower stems deeply to ensure usable stems for arranging.

Growing Guide

Dahlias are cold sensitive and should not be planted out until all danger of frost has passed in your area. Dahlias grow best in full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) and well-draining soil. Dahlias produce tubers which must be lifted in the fall in zones 7 and lower.

We sell and ship to customers in the continental United States. Local Pick Up is also available at our farm in South Dartmouth, MA.
All orders with standard shipping will ship when safe to do so, typically beginning in mid-April.
All sales of dahlia tubers are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
