Downham Royal is a beautiful deep purple bloom. Plants are on the shorter side but are highly prolific. Downham Royal benefits from regular harvesting or support to help hold up their small but heavy blooms.

Growing Guide

Dahlias are cold sensitive and should not be planted out until all danger of frost has passed in your area. Dahlias grow best in full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) and well-draining soil. Dahlias produce tubers which must be lifted in the fall in zones 7 and lower.
