My entire experience with Russell Mills has been nothing short of lovely. I do not know how I was so fortunate to have stumbled across this wonderful farm, but I'm so thankful. The tubers arrived in great shape, healthy, sprouted and rooting, ready for the ground. Everything I have purchased from them has grown this season which is miraculous considering it is my first attempt at growing dahlias this year. I know my soil still needs amending, but these tubers are thriving. The surprise bonus tuber is so generous! They sent me one I'd never heard of. I fell in love with it and had to order another! I bought my American Dawn tuber from Russell Mills 2 years ago and last year a squirrel ate off the top, but it grew back and was a late bloomer. It produced several tubers so I have them planted in different parts of my yard now on the 2nd year, and they were all the first dahlias to bloom this year for me. Beautiful flowers!
I was so excited to see these bloom this season! They are truly stunning in a bouquet all on their own but also pair well with whites and pale yellows too! A must grow. Another quality tuber producing amazing blooms from this grower.
I added marrn to my dahlia collection this season and I’m so glad I did! Long, sturdy beautiful stems with a beautiful ball dahlia. Definitely one of my favorites! I wish I had more!
Hi, I planted a MAARN tuber last year and when i replanted it after overwintering it. The plant died and since it was a tuber I could not live without, I searched everywhere and finally found one on your site. I was super excited about this tuber in particular but it didn't end up sprouting eyes. Bummer! Most of my other tubers from this company are doing great so I will try again for this beauty next season. Is it normal for tubers to come with a portion of the end cut off? This was the only time I've received one like that.
