Well, the secret is out! Valley Tawny is one of Bethanie’s favorite dahlias. For years we have relied on this gem for our wholesale customers. She is one of the first to bloom with the most beautiful nearly tan color tones, and she blooms until frost without skipping a beat. Plants are on the shorter side so make sure to cut this one deeply for long stems.

Growing Guide

Dahlias are cold sensitive and should not be planted out until all danger of frost has passed in your area. Dahlias grow best in full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) and well-draining soil. Dahlias produce tubers which must be lifted in the fall in zones 7 and lower.
